Hello

Welcome
Whatever is bringing you to therapy, I create a calm space that allows you to discover and delve deeper into your feelings and experiences. Through conversation and looking at the edges of where you feel comfortable, I support you to see yourself with more clarity, nurturing lasting change. I have a warm and relaxed manner, and offer a safe and non-judgemental space for us to explore whatever is coming up for you. I welcome all backgrounds, identities and neurotypes.
My approach is integrative, which means that I don’t believe one approach fits all, and have been trained to draw on a mix of psychotherapeutic approaches. It is also relational, where this is a human-to-human relationship that will look different for everyone, but is grounded in kindness, compassion, curiosity, presence and trust.
MBACP Therapist
My name is Xulia Duran-Rodriguez. I am an accredited Integrative Counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), trained at The Minster Centre.
Half English, half Galician, I grew up in London. I have a creative background, with a degree in Fashion and Textiles and an MA in Fine Art. I spent several years working in trend prediction before stepping away from the corporate world well over a decade ago to teach yoga full-time. This opened up a deeper path of meditation and self-enquiry, which remains central to my way of being in the world and supporting others. It is the interplay of creativity, embodiment, and spirituality that shapes my heart-centred therapy practice.
About
Therapy
Everyone has times in life when talking to someone, and feeling truly heard and seen, helps. At its heart, therapy offers this space where we can explore together whatever challenges you are experiencing. Whether you're navigating unhappiness, fear, overwhelm, burnout, grief or anxiety; facing difficulties in relationships, family life, health, or work - or you're just feeling stuck - therapy provides a safe and confidential space with someone trained to support you.
What does that actually look like in practice? While therapy will look different for everyone, we may look at relationship patterns and survival strategies to better understand how your upbringing has shaped you. We may also work with boundaries, vulnerabilities and patterns of attachment. Through openness and curiosity, therapy can support you in understanding yourself more deeply, enabling sustained growth and acceptance.
When our work together is coming to an end, at a time that feels right, we will reflect on the work, giving us the opportunity to bring things to a careful close - supporting you to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I look forward to hearing from you.
